Not before 5.30 all eyes will be focused on the duel of the generations between designated Nadal heir Carlos Alcaraz and British superstar Andy Murray. The two only recently met during the ATP 1000 Masters tournament in Indian Wells, where Murray kept the upper hand in three hard-fought sets.
The final match of the day will be between Nikoloz Basilashvili (GEO) and Matteo Berrettini, the number 3 seed in Vienna. Basilashvili had to go the full distance in his first round against Spaniard Carreno Busta, while Berrettini had it comparatively easy in his two-set win against Australian Popyrin.
