There have never been as many kids and youngsters participating in the spark7 ballkids challenge than this year. About 200 participants were eager to show what they can do at Vienna’s Colony Club and are now hoping to snatch one of the coveted spots at the Erste Bank Open.
Due to the high number of participants, the kids were split in three groups – morning, afternoon and evening. Each group had to complete a 2-hour long trial which was split in three challenges:
- Speed
- Throwing the ball
- Skill with the net catching the ball
From the 200 participants, 65 kids will be chosen by the beginning of October to take part in the Erste Bank Open as ballkids. All participants received a #glaubandich goodie bag, a shirt and also had the opportunity to take pictures and get autographs from Austria’s tennis star Jurij Rodionov. Additionally, all participating kids were invited to come to the Erste Bank Open on Monday, 24th October 2022 for free.
