Star parade on Wednesday

There will be an abundance of stars at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna on Wednesday. It all starts already at noon, when Jürgen Melzer will kick off his final Vienna campaign in the doubles with his partner Edouard Roger-Vasselin from France.

Singles action starts at 2 pm with Daniil Medvedev (RUS) against Jason Jung (TPE), who made the main draw as lucky loser. This match is followed by the first appearance of Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas who will take on German Jan-Lennard Struff.

The night session (begin not before 5.30 pm) will be kicked off by Novak Djokovic. The Serbian number 1 of the world clashes with Croatian Borna Coric already for a spot in the quarter finals. In the final match of the day on the centercourt, 2018 winner Kevin Anderson (RSA) will take on Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta.

The Next Gen Court will see all of the great youngsters in action: Italy’s Jannik Sinner faces Norwegian Casper Ruud and then there will be an all Canadian battle between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Vasek Pospisil.
