Thursday means round of last 16 at the Erste Bank Open. Aside from the obvious blockbuster between Dominic Thiem and Daniil Medvedev, the fans will be treated to lots of other great tennis.
Matches at the Stadthalle commence at 2 pm with Andrey Rublev (3) against Grigor Dimitrov (BUL). Both players showed absolutely no weaknesses in their first round appearances.
This match is immediately followed by the match of the day from an Austrian perspective as Dominic Thiem will take on the tournament’s number 1, Daniil Medvedev who won his first round in convincing manner against Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Not before 5.30 pm the match between Jannik Sinner (ITA/6) and Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo is scheduled, with Borna Coric (CRO) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE/2) capping the night.
