This is how Red Bull BassLine is new
Red Bull BassLine brings the fans close to the action like never before. In between their matches, the athletes keep warm right beside the court on bicycle ergometers and can interact with the audience. The whole event only lasts about three hours from the first serve until the final.
The tournament is interactive, there’s no chair umpire – if needed, the players must decide disputable points themselves. A host will lead on-court interviews with the players in between rallys and also talk to the players waiting for their turn in the athletes zone. All the time, a DJ will entertain players and crowd with hot music – also during rallys. There are no line judges as the “electronic line calling” will once again be implemented.
Red Bull BassLine offers yet another innovation. Fans can see, if a player has a pulse of 180 or if he is completely calm, as interactive data will be shown exclusively to the fans.
