From the qualifying rounds on Tuesday, October 21, through to the semifinals on Saturday, October 25, all doubles matches will be played at the tournament’s second match location, the Marx Halle. Fans can look forward to seeing big names such as Alexander Zverev, who will team up with Brazilian doubles legend Marcelo Melo in Vienna.

Austria’s own Lucas Miedler, who celebrated his second Erste Bank Open title last year together with fellow countryman Alexander Erler after also triumphing in 2022, will play with a different partners this time.
Lower Austrian Lucas Miedler has joined forces with Francisco Cabral this season — a partnership that’s already proven successful. The duo has captured titles in Gstaad and Hangzhou, helping Miedler reach a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 24. Cabral and Miedler also remain strong contenders in the Race to the ATP Finals in Turin

Wimbledon Champions top the Field

Seeded No. 1 in Vienna are the British pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool, who have enjoyed a phenomenal 2025 season, winning no fewer than six ATP titles – highlighted by their triumph on the hallowed grass of Wimbledon.

Their main challengers in Vienna will be Marcelo Arévalo of El Salvador and Mate Pavić of Croatia. Pavić’s résumé includes an impressive 42 doubles titles and a remarkable feat: he has captured all four Grand Slam tournaments with four different partners – the Australian Open 2018 with Austria’s Oliver Marach, the US Open 2020 with Bruno Soares, Wimbledon 2021 with Nikola Mektić, and the French Open 2024 with Arévalo. He also claimed the Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2021 Games, again alongside Mektić.

Grand Slam glory has also smiled upon the No. 3 seeds, Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten. The Finnish-British duo captured the Wimbledon title last year and followed it up with another Major triumph at the Australian Open this season. Rounding out the top four seeds are the British tandem Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski, the Vienna champions of 2018.
