TC Ebbs: Netzlogo goes peak

TC Ebbs has impressively demonstrated that tennis requires not only passion but also creativity: in this year's Erste Bank Open net logo competition, the Tyrolean club submitted the most original photo – and thus secured the coveted bonus grand prize: Watch the stars train on the VIP practice court at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna's Stadthalle on Monday, October 20, 2025!

What makes the winning photo so special? It was not taken on center court, but on a mountain peak – complete with net, net logo, and breathtaking views.
“The idea came about more as a joke during lunch after a team championship match,” says Thomas Brandauer, one of the two creative minds behind the campaign. “Originally, we wanted to do something with our kids on the court, but time and weather didn't cooperate. Then we came up with the idea of climbing the Naunspitze – and somehow the joke turned serious.”

A 1.5-hour climb, a net on their backs, and plenty of motivation – that's how Brandauer and his teammate Tobias Seilinger started their adventure. Once they reached the top, they set up the net and then started the photo shoot – with a lot of humor, a small summit snack, and the firm intention of making room for the hikers again afterwards.

“We didn't announce the campaign in a big way – so the surprise was all the greater for our club colleagues when the pictures started doing the rounds,” laughs Brandauer.

This was the first time TC Ebbs had taken part in the net logo campaign. “I stumbled across the campaign by chance and thought to myself: you've got nothing to lose.”
