The Antwerp winners Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler brought Tomas Machac (CZE) and Zhizhen Zhang to their knees with 7-6 (7/2), 4-6 and 10-8, with the two local heroes already trailing 2-7 in the match tie-break, but were able to turn the tables. Erler/Miedler's quarter-final opponents on Friday will be Italy's Luciano Darderi and Argentina's Mariano Navone.
