Daniil Medvedev contested the 100th ATP Tour quarter-final of his career against French qualifier Adrian Mannarino at the 2026 Erste Bank Open. After a hard-fought second-round match against Cameron Norrie, in which the third seed and 2022 Vienna champion had to save a match point, he enjoyed a comparatively comfortable 6-2, 6-3 victory this time to reach the semi-finals.

Medvedev made the perfect start by breaking Mannarino in his opening service game. Another break for 5-2 put him firmly in control before he comfortably served out the first set.

The World No. 5 remained in command during the second set. A break for 4-3 put him firmly on course for victory before he converted his second match point on Mannarino’s serve to close out the contest 6-3.

Medvedev was pleased with his performance afterwards: “It was a tough match with a lot of long rallies and flat shots. I am happy that I played the important points better and was able to win the match.”

The victory also gave the 30-year-old the remaining points he needed to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals. Medvedev will therefore compete at the season finale in Turin for the seventh time in eight years, with 2025 the only exception.

In the Erste Bank Open semi-finals, Medvedev will face the winner of the quarter-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Tommy Paul.
