After their thrilling opening win against the Czech/Chinese pairing Machac/Zhang, in which they turned a 2:7 deficit into a 10:8 victory in the match tiebreak, the two Austrians are brimming with confidence.

In the quarter-finals on Friday, the two Antwerp winners from the previous week will face the Italian-Argentine doubles team of Luciano Darderi and Mariano Navone. A tough opponent, as the pair surprisingly knocked the No. 1 seed Arevalo (ARG)/Pavic (CRO) out of the competition in two sets in the first round.
