The main draw of the Erste Bank Open 2025 kicks off on Monday, October 20, with an exciting first day of action on the Center Court of Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle.

For Rodionov, it’s another special moment in front of his home crowd. “I’ve managed to cause a surprise here in the Stadthalle before, beating Denis Shapovalov. I look forward to this atmosphere every year – it gives me so much energy,” said the 25-year-old ahead of his opening match.

De Minaur, who has captured one title so far this season, is known for his relentless fighting spirit, exceptional speed, and never-say-die attitude. The matchup promises an intense baseline battle – and Rodionov will once again look to ignite the Vienna crowd.

The day’s schedule on Center Court begins at 1.30 pm, with Luciano Darderi (ITA) taking on Brandon Nakashima (USA), followed by Alejandro Tabilo (CHI) against No. 8 seed Alexander Bublik (KAZ). The final match of the evening, not before 8:15 pm, features Karen Khachanov versus Tallon Griekspoor – a clash between two former Red Bull BassLine champions.

Play also begins on the #glaubandich Court in the Marx Halle at 4 pm, where qualifiers Aleksandar Kovacevic (USA) and Matteo Arnaldi (ITA) will meet in their first-round encounter.

Everything is set for a thrilling opening day at the Erste Bank Open 2025 – and for Jurij Rodionov, a chance to deliver the tournament’s first big home-crowd moment.
