The second day of the Erste Bank Open 2025 main draw promises a true showcase of tennis stars, as several of the tournament’s top names take to the court.

The day kicks off with Austria’s No. 1, Filip Misolic, who received a wild card into the main draw. The Styrian will face Argentina’s Camilo Ugo Carabelli at 1:30 p.m. Carabelli, ranked No. 50 in the world, sits 45 places ahead of Misolic, but their head-to-head record is even at 1–1. Both previous encounters took place on clay this year: Misolic won in Bucharest, while Carabelli came out on top in Bastad.

“It’s definitely a good draw when you look at the names in the field,” said Misolic. “But it won’t be an easy match. We’ve already played twice this year – we’ll see who wins this time. I feel in great form at the moment. I’ve already had a few practice sessions here in Vienna – I really like the surface, and physically I feel good, which is the most important thing. I’m just excited to get out there and play my best tennis.”

After that, the action continues fast and furious. Next up is a clash between Britain’s Cameron Norrie and No. 7 seed Andrey Rublev. An interesting side note: the two faced each other just last Friday at the Red Bull BassLine mini tie-break event, where Norrie came out on top in convincing fashion.

Not before 5:30 p.m., No. 4 seed Lorenzo Musetti (ITA) will battle it out with lucky loser Hamad Medjedovic, who steps in for Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek had to withdraw due to back problems, followed by the final match of the day (not before 8:15 p.m.) featuring Alexander Zverev, the 2021 Vienna champion. The No. 2 seed from Germany will take on British qualifier Jacob Fearnley.

Action also at the Marx Halle

There will also be plenty of action at the second venue, the Marx Halle, where fans can enjoy the doubles qualifying rounds starting at 1:00 p.m. Local favorites David Pichler and Jurij Rodionov will take on the German-Dutch duo Constantin Frantzen and Robin Haase, aiming to secure a spot in the main draw.

Singles action follows not before 3:30 p.m. on the #glaubandich Court in the Marx Halle, featuring Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG) against rising Norwegian Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, and Francisco Cerundolo (ARG) versus Alex Michelsen (USA).
