When six ATP stars take to the court at the Wiener Stadthalle on Friday, 23 October, a brand-new rule will make its debut: “Domi’s Double”. Created by Dominic Thiem, the new feature will make Red Bull BassLine even faster, more interactive and more unpredictable.

Here’s how it works: Once per match, each player can signal to Dominic that they want to activate “Domi’s Double” for the next rally. Whoever wins that rally receives two points instead of one – regardless of which player activated the rule.

That makes “Domi’s Double” a major opportunity, but also a real risk. With only five points needed to win a set at Red Bull BassLine, a single rally could completely turn around a seemingly lost match – or hand the opponent the decisive advantage.

“The new rule will make it even more exciting because a match can still turn around from what looks like an almost impossible position. Even if you’re a long way behind, you always have the chance to come back and change the course of the match,” Dominic Thiem explains. “It makes Red Bull BassLine even more unpredictable – and that’s exactly what I think is really cool.”

The tennis party gets underway at 7:00 pm on Friday, 23 October 2026, at the Wiener Stadthalle. Jakub Menšík and Daniel Mérida have already been confirmed as the first two members of the six-player line-up.
