In the end, the reigning Wimbledon champions — seeded No. 2 in Vienna — proved too strong for Lucas Miedler and his Portuguese partner Francisco Cabral. In the first set, the Austrian-Portuguese pair managed only some late damage control at 0–5 before the Grand Slam champions closed it out after just 23 minutes.
The second set, however, was a much tighter affair. Both teams held serve comfortably, and a tiebreak was needed to decide the match. There, the Britons earned a crucial mini-break to go up 7–6 and then served out the contest with composure.
For Miedler, a victory would have marked his third Erste Bank Open title after wins in 2022 and 2024, both alongside compatriot Alexander Erler. For Llody Glasspool and Julian Cash, it was their first Vienna title in just their second appearance.
