After dominating the opening tie-break, Miedler and Oberleitner were pushed all the way in a closely contested second set. The Austrians held their nerve in the decisive moments and eventually converted their third match point.

Miedler reaches his fourth Vienna final

For Lucas Miedler, this marks a fourth appearance in the Erste Bank Open doubles final. He lifted the trophy alongside Alexander Erler in 2022 and 2024. Last year, he reached the championship match with Portugal’s Francisco Cabral but was defeated by Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool.

On Sunday, Miedler will have the opportunity to claim his third Vienna title, this time alongside Oberleitner. The final begins at 11:30 am at the Wiener Stadthalle, with the Austrians’ opponents yet to be determined.
