No visit to Vienna is complete without authentic Kaiserschmarrn – and that apparently applies to international tennis stars too. During his visit to Demel, Grigor Dimitrov not only got a look behind the scenes but also had the opportunity to lend a hand himself.
Under the expert guidance of pastry chef Paula, Dimitrov learned step by step how to prepare the Austrian pastry classic. The former World No. 3 approached the task with complete concentration and showed plenty of finesse away from the tennis court too.
Kaiserschmarrn for the fans
Dimitrov then moved to the serving window, where a group of young and hungry fans were already waiting. The tennis star personally handed out portions of the freshly prepared Kaiserschmarrn.
Of course, Dimitrov could not resist tasting his own creation. The result clearly passed the taste test: The fan favourite rounded off his sweet excursion into Vienna’s city centre with Kaiserschmarrn and coffee.
Dimitrov once again showed that he cuts a fine figure not only on the tennis court, but also when taking part in one of Vienna’s sweetest traditions.
