Led by defending champion Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, an exceptional field awaits fans at the Wiener Stadthalle and the Marx Halle from 24 October to 1 November 2026. Alongside the two superstars, Daniil Medvedev, Flavio Cobolli, Frances Tiafoe and now Alex de Minaur have entered the tournament. For the first time since the Erste Bank Open were upgraded in 2015, six Top 10 players feature on the entry list.
De Minaur completes the Top 10 sextet
Alex de Minaur has long established himself among the world’s elite. The lightning-fast Australian thrills fans with his outstanding movement, fighting spirit and relentless baseline game. He has also demonstrated how comfortable he feels in Vienna, reaching the semi-finals of the Erste Bank Open in both 2024 and 2025. The 11-time ATP Tour champion will now return in search of another deep run.
In the provisional seeding, de Minaur is ranked behind Sinner, Zverev, Medvedev, Cobolli and Tiafoe. Rising stars Jakub Menšík and Learner Tien would also be seeded based on the current rankings.

Former champion Rublev returns
The Vienna fans can also look forward to welcoming back former champion Andrey Rublev. The 28-year-old lifted the trophy at the Wiener Stadthalle in 2020 and has recently shown signs of returning to his best form. At the ATP tournament in Hangzhou, he celebrated his 400th tour-level match win on his way to the final.
The final in China featured two former Vienna champions, with Daniil Medvedev defeating Rublev to claim his 24th ATP Tour title – and his third tournament victory of the year following Brisbane and Dubai. The two could now meet again in Vienna.
Blockx set for Vienna debut
Alexander Blockx is one of the new faces in this year’s field. The 21-year-old Belgian made headlines by reaching the US Open quarter-finals and is regarded as one of the season’s most exciting rising stars. He will now make his Erste Bank Open debut.
With US Open semi-finalist Karen Khachanov, Tommy Paul, Brandon Nakashima and Luciano Darderi also in the field, the entry list remains exceptionally strong well beyond the leading names. High-profile clashes are therefore guaranteed from the very first day.
“We are delighted that Alex de Minaur has become the sixth Top 10 player to enter and that Andrey Rublev will return to the Erste Bank Open this year. Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev could even be battling for the world No. 1 ranking in Vienna. The field also features crowd favourites such as Frances Tiafoe and exciting new faces including Learner Tien and Alexander Blockx,” said Tournament Director Herwig Straka.
For the fans, it all adds up to an unprecedented concentration of world-class tennis at the Wiener Stadthalle and the Marx Halle.
Tickets for the matches, the wheelchair tennis event and the stars’ practice sessions at the Marx Halle are still available. Standing tickets are now also on sale for the tournament days from Wednesday to Sunday.
