As in the previous year, the spark7 Ballcrew Challenge will once again take place in June. Become part of a selected group that is an indispensable part of the Erste Bank Open – and in 2026, a very special highlight awaits you.
Dominic Thiem will take on an active role at the selection event at the Wiener Colony Club on June 27. He will be on site, interact with the participants, share insights – and help shape the final Ballcrew selection together with the team.
What makes this moment so special: Dominic knows this tournament like hardly anyone else. As a child, he sat in the stands himself and knows exactly what it means to be so close to professional tennis. That is precisely the experience he now brings into the selection process.
To be selected as a member of the ballcrew of the Erste Bank Open, you should meet the following requirements:
- You are enthusiastic about sports and especially tennis
- You play tennis yourself and know the rules
- You are at least 13 years old or will be by 24th October 2026 at the latest
- You have time on June 27th to take part in the screening day at Vienna's Colony Club
- You are available daily during the Erste Bank Open from October 24 - November 1.
After the try-out day, the approximately 80 lucky ones will be selected and notified and can look forward to their assignment at the Erste Bank Open!
